Carrie Johnson
Carrie Johnson is a principal of Wallace Engineering Structural Consultants, Inc, a structural and civil engineering firm with offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kansas City, Missouri, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Castle Rock Colorado. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of structural engineering.
Carrie received her Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees from Oklahoma State University. She is a registered engineer in twenty-nine states. Her engineering experience ranges from several medical facilities for Continental Medical Systems to a waterfront yacht sales building near Galveston, Texas which required analysis for hurricane wave loading. Carrie's project work is concentrated in the retail industry where she has been instrumental in the development of multi-sited building prototypes. She is also an expert in computer programming, administration and system management.
Carrie has automated many in-house operational and administrative functions and, more importantly, has developed proprietary software programs to automate repetitive structural engineering tasks.
Carrie has done recurring lectures on steel bracing for lateral loads at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She co-wrote an article entitled “Infrared Inspection of Masonry” which was published in the May 2006 edition of Structure Magazine.
Carrie currently serves as the chair of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) Excellence in Structural Engineering awards and serves on the NCSEA Advocacy and Ethics committees. She is also a past-president and current vice-president of the Oklahoma Structural Engineers Association (OSEA) - Eastern Chapter.
